OFFLINE é uma residência da Triangle Network, organizada pela associação artística e cultural XEREM em parceria com o Largo Residências. Artistas internacionais e nacionais participarão neste projecto, que se realiza na zona do Intendente – Martim Moniz, em Lisboa. A residência tem como objectivo oferecer aos artistas a oportunidade de pesquisar, produzindo fora do seu contexto habitual, criando novos campos de trabalho e possibilidades de explorar as particulariedades em site-specific, processos colaborativos e participativos. Pretende-se incentivar o processo criativo baseado no dia-a-dia e nas vivências partilhadas, promovendo o trabalho em rede entre os artistas.
A residência apoia a produção experimental de novos trabalhos e promove a troca cultural com a disseminação de ideias e de conexões criativas com o público, um programa constituído por apresentações dos próprios artistas, eventos e um Open Day.
O âmbito conceptual do workshop dá um enfoque particular à experiência de viagem como um meio de produção pessoal e colectiva, como um lugar entre o sonho, fantasia, ficção e realidade.
O termo “off line” refere-se à experiência de “estar fora”, em silêncio, numa procura exterior aos circuitos fixos. Estar “off line” representa também estar “fora de linha”, “desalinhado”, alheio ao sistema.
A experiência do turismo, nomadismo, diáspora, alteridade e imigração tem em si estas referências de ausências espaciais. “Off line” é assim o espaço entre as partidas e as chegadas, o silêncio entre as palavras, entre o trânsito e a viagem.

OFFLINE is a workshop-residency from the Triangle Network ( www.trianglenetwork.org), organized by the artistic and cultural association Xerém developed in partnership with Largo Residências in Lisbon, more specifically in the area of Intendente – Martim Moniz. The art residence aims to provide artists the opportunity to research , produce out of their usual context , creating new fields of work and possibilities to explore site-specific , participatory and collaborative processes. It is intended to encourage the creative process based on the day-to – day and shared experiences , promoting networking among artists . The residency supports the production of new work and promotes cultural exchange and creative connections with the public. The public program consists of presentations of the artists works , events and an Open Day. The internal programme consists of many activities such as visits to other artists studios and activities , which promote the creative processes and artistic and cultural exchange.

The conceptual framework of the workshop gives a particular focus to the travel experience as a means of personal and collective production. Travel here is defined as somewhere between dream , fantasy , fiction and reality . The term ” offline ” refers to the experience of ” being out ” in silence , a search outside the fixed circuits . Being “off line ” is also being “out of line ” , ” scruffy ” , oblivious to the system . The experience of tourism , nomadism , diaspora , immigration and otherness itself has these references of spatial absences . ” Off line ” so is the space between departures and arrivals , the silence between the words , between the road and the journey .

Norrköping Air – Residência na Suécia Norrköping Air – Residency in Sweden

Norrköping Air atribui a três artistas, a oportunidade de viver e trabalhar em Norrköping, na Suécia desde 1 de Junho a 31 de Agosto de 2014. É o segundo ano em que organizam sta residência de verão para artistas de todo o mundo. para desenvolver projetos em diálogo com a equipe Air Norrköping e instituições suecas.

Ivan Grilo no Rio de JaneiroIvan Grilo in Rio de Janeiro

O artista Ivan Grilo , que em 2012 participou no Workshop Internacional de Artistas “Transitante: entre álbuns e arquivos” organizado pela Xerem, inaugurou uma exposição na galeria Luciana Caravello Arte Contemporânea no Rio de Janeiro.
A exposição “Ivan Grilo – Sentimo-nos cegos”, inclui 17 trabalhos inéditos do artista, incluindo um site specific, feitos especialmente para esta ocasião, ocupando todo o espaço da galeria e com curadoria de Bernardo Mosqueira. Os trabalhos são desdobramentos da série “Neblina”, uma pesquisa do artista com a fotografia que segundo o mesmo se terá iniciado em Portugal, no decorrer do workshop.

The artist Ivan Grilo, who in 2012 was in Lisbon participating in the International Workshop Artists “Transiting: between albums and archives” organized by Xerem, opened an exhibition at Luciana Caravello Contemporary Art in Rio de Janeiro.
The exhibition “Ivan Grilo – Sentimo-nos cegos”, includes 17 original works of the artist, including a site specific, specially made for this occasion, occupying the entire space of the gallery and curated by Bernardo Mosqueira. The works are offshoots of the “Haze” series, an artist research with photography, that as he says, was started in Portugal, during the workshop.

Candidaturas para voluntariado no Workshop Internacional OFFLINE – 2013Applications for volunteers International Workshop on OFFLINE – 2013

A associação artística e cultural XEREM irá seleccionar um grupo de voluntários interessados em colaborar no workshop Internacional OFFLINE.

O workshop OFFLINE é a terceira iniciativa de implementação em Portugal da rede artística internacional Triangle Network.
A estrutura do workshop seguirá o modelo da rede, isto é, reunir durante duas semanas um grupo de artistas locais e internacionais possibilitando um trabalho conjunto e a troca de experiências artísticas, processuais e culturais. Um programa de apresentações, seminários e Open day irá organizar o calendário do workshop e dar suporte e visibilidade ao trabalho em curso.

Os candidatos a voluntariado deverão ter interesse pelas áreas criativas e estar disponíveis para integrar diversas tarefas, nomeadamente, dando apoio a: manutenção do espaço, assessoria de imprensa, informática, webdesign, prestação de assistência aos artistas participantes, tradução de textos (PT-EN).

Os candidatos deverão estar interessados numa abordagem relacional com a equipa e artistas participantes e entender a experiência do workshop como uma oportunidade para desenvolvimento profissional. Os candidatos deverão estar disponíveis durante o período em que se realiza o workshop e estar preparados para prestar apoio em todas as actividades do workshop. A organização assegura alimentação e apoio nas viagens Urbanas em Lisboa. A organização não assegura estadia ou despesas de viagens para voluntários residentes fora de Lisboa.

The workshop OFFLINE is the third initiative implementation in Portugal of the international artistic network Triangle Network.
The workshop will follow the structure of the network model and gather for two weeks a group of local and international artists working together and allowing exchange of artistic experiences, procedural and cultural. A program of presentations, artist talks and open day will organize the schedule of the workshop and support the visibility to the work in progress.

Candidates should have an interest in creative areas and be available to integrate various tasks, in particular, by supporting: space maintenance, media, webdesign, providing assistance to participating artists, and text translation.

Candidates should be interested in a relational approach with the team and participating artists and understand the experience of the workshop as an opportunity for professional development. Candidates must be available during the period in which it conducts the workshop and be prepared to provide support in all workshop activities. The organization provides food and travel support in Urban Lisbon transportation network. The organization does not provide lodging or traveling expenses for volunteers not living in Lisbon.
