No passado dia 15 de Junho, a propósito do lançamento das candidaturas ao Workshop Internacional de Artistas | Triangle Network, intitulado OFFLINE – Entre Trânsitos e Viagens, teve lugar uma conversa entre artistas sobre o papel e a importância das residências artísticas para a prática de arte contemporânea. O curador independente Carlos Alcobia desafiou a Carla Cabanas, a Cristina Ataíde e o Daniel Melim para partilharem as suas experiências enquanto participantes mas edições anteriores deste Workshop. Esta iniciativa teve lugar na Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa.
O prazo de candidatura fechou a 15 de Julho e recebemos perto de 100 candidaturas, de artistas portugueses e estrangeiros. Os resultados serão anunciados aos artistas no início de Setembro.
O Workshop terá lugar de 24 de Novembro a 8 de Dezembro, no Largo do Intendente. É organizado pela XEREM em parceria com a Largo Residências e conta com o apoio financeiro da Direcção Geral das Artes e da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, com apoio à produção do Arquivo Municipal de Lisboa e Ponto das Artes e apoio à divulgação da Rede Lastro. On June 15th, as a way of launching the Open Call for the Internacional Artists Workshop | Triangle Network, entitled OFFLINE – Between Transits and Journeys, we have organized an Artists Talk about the role and importance of artistic residencies in the context of contemporary art praxis. Independent curator Carlos Alcobia invited artists Carla Cabanas, Cristina Ataíde and Daniel Melim and challenged them to share their experiences as former participants in earlier editions of these Workshops. This initiative took place at Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa.
Until the dealine of July 15th we have received nearly 100 applications. Results will be announced to the artists early September.
The Workshop will take place from November 24th until December 8th at Largo do Intendente, Lisboa. It is organized by XEREM in partnership with Largo Residências. The Workshop has received financial support from Direcção Geral das Artes and Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, production support from Arquivo Municipal de Lisboa and Ponto das Artes and promotion support from Rede Lastro.
