Residência Artística Internacional em Mindelo TERRA DE FOGO – um projeto que desenvolve a criação artística em S.Vicente
É já no próximo dia 8 de Fevereiro que terá início o TERRA DE FOGO, uma ação artística promovida pela Galeria ZeroPointArt em conjunto com a Xerem, de Portugal, com um financiamento parcial da dgARTES.
Com a curadoria do curador e artista plástico Alex da Silva, TERRA DE FOGO, que estará assente numa Residência Artística de 10 dias, promete trazer uma oferta artística de qualidade ao público Mindelense, com a participação de três artistas portuguesas – Cristina Ataíde, Susana Anágua e Alexandra Sargento. Tendo uma significativa experiência pessoal e profissional na sua área artística, estas três artistas actuarão numa dinâmica transdisciplinar, desafiando a sua criatividade para responder à especificidade e mística da ilha de S.Vicente.
O programa terá início no dia 9 de Fevereiro, com o Vernissage da Exposição Terra de Fogo, na Galeria ZeroPointArt, que será uma instalação onde serão apresentadas peças seleccionadas pelo curador Alex da Silva. Durante a Residência Artística, serão ainda desenvolvidas actividades de formação e reflexão sobre a arte contemporânea, nomeadamente workshops para crianças, tertúlias com artistas locais e público interessado, criação de peças artísticas com o acolhimento do Atelier de Pintura do artista Alex da Silva.
Integrando-se na postura de abordagem da Arte que tem vindo a ser seguida pela ZeroPointArt, TERRA DE FOGO irá promover a inter-relação dos diversos públicos, encarando as trocas relacionais como veículo da contemporaneidade, tendo como foco o público de S. Vicente. O incentivo à aprendizagem, à discussão, ao desenvolvimento e à produção de arte fora dos circuitos comerciais será a tónica desta dinâmica artística em Mindelo. Trata-se de explorar outras direções dentro das artes visuais, integrando práticas colaborativas entre diferentes áreas artísticas – artes-plásticas, vídeo, performance e teatro – potenciando o desenvolvimento de intercâmbio cultural.

International Art Residence in Mindelo TERRA DE FOGO – (LAND OF FIRE) – a project which will develop the artistic creation in S.Vicente.
Coming on February 8th Terra de Fogo (LAND OF FIRE), an artistic action promoted by ZeroPointArt Gallery together with the association Xerem, Portugal, with partial funding from dgARTES.
Curated by the artist Alex da Silva, TERRA DE FOGO, is based on a 10 days Art Residence, and promises to bring the public in Mindelo, an offer of artistic quality. This event will have the participation of three Portuguese artists – Cristina Ataíde, Susana Anágua e Alexandra Sargento. These three artists have a significant experience, both personal and professional, in their field of art, and so will act in a multidisciplinary dynamic, challenging your creativity to respond to the specific and mystique of the island of Sao Vicente.
The program will begin on February 9th, with the Vernissage Exhibition Terra De Fogo, taking place at the ZeroPointArt Gallery, which is an installation where selected pieces will be presented by curator Alex da Silva. During this Art Residency, there will be further training and reflection on contemporary art. This will include workshops for children, gatherings with local artists and the public, creating artistic pieces hosted at the artist Painting Atelier Alex da Silva.
Assimilating the posture of the Art approach that has been followed by ZeroPointArt TERRA DE FOGO will promote the interrelationship of the various public, facing interpersonal exchanges as a way to the contemporary, focusing on S. Vicente´s public. The incentive to learn, discuss, develop and produce art outside commercial channels will be the focus of this dynamic art in Mindelo. It is supposed to explore other directions within the visual arts, integrating collaborative practices in different artistic fields – arts, video, performance and theater – nurturing the growth of the cultural exchange.
