De 25 Fevereiro até final de Abril o artista Daniel Melim vai estar na Fundação Sacatar, em Itaparica, Bahia (Brasil), a desenvolver um trabalho de pintura com a população local. Este projeto insere-se na sua linha de trabalhos em que as imagens (pinturas) são geradas pelo contato direto com as pessoas, na rua. Neste projeto em particular, lidará diretamente com a antiga e quase extinta tradição do Riscadores de Milagres (pintores de Ex-Votos, imagens feitas para agradecer milagres).
From 25 February to late April the artist Daniel Melim, member of Xerem, will be in Sacatar Foundation in Itaparica, Bahia (Brazil), to develop a painting activity with the local community. This project falls in his series of works in which images (paintings) are generated by direct contact with people on the street. In this particular project, he will deal directly with the ancient and almost extinct tradition of Riscadores de Milagres (Ex-Votos painters, images made to acknowledge miracles).
