AIR CELEIA CELJE presently offers two-month residency in 2011 to contemporary artists, experienced in the public art projects. The ability of the artists to connect with the city and the local art scene will be appreciated. Preference will be given to the artists working interdisciplinary in the cross-section between visual art, design and architecture. The selected artist is going to be introduced to the local art scene, and provided with the sociological and historical context of the city and the region (see the general description of the residency). Artist will be provided with free accommodation in the Air Celeia studio apartment, and a possibility of either presenting or exhibiting his/her work in the public spaces in the city of Celje. The artist must fund all the living expenses and transportation. AIR Celeia helps the artist with the stipend up to 600 euros monthly depending on the application. Public presentation (artist talk) is obligatory.
