  SCHIUME Festival will take place in Venice, between June and July 2012. For this next edition, under the theme “Conflict”, the Festival is lookink for performing arts projects (dance, theatre, installation, music, video, visual arts, multimedia, interaction). Deadline: April 7th. More info here.

The field of “Cinema and Audiovisual” of Guimarães 2012, together with the Movie Production Platform, are promoting the VIDEOGANG programme, which is a project of training, experimentation and production of creative formats geared towards web and social network dissemination, with a strong musical component.

VIDEOGANG is aimed at all those who have a creative talent for the arts of image and sound (directors, photographers, designers and other visual artists, including musicians and performers), whether in small groups or individually (available to become part of groups).

 A área de “Cinema e Audiovisual” da Guimarães 2012, juntamente com a Plataforma de Produção Cinematográfica, promove o programa VIDEOGANG, um projeto de formação, experimentação e produção de formatos criativos vocacionados para a difusão na Web e nas redes sociais, com uma forte componente musical.

VIDEOGANG é dirigido a todos quantos sintam vocação criativa para as artes da imagem e do som (realizadores, fotógrafos, designers e outros artistas visuais, podendo incluir músicos e performers), quer se apresentem integrados em pequenos grupos, quer se apresentem individualmente (com disponibilidade para integrarem grupos a constituir).

 The Festival is open to all national and international artists working at the level of digital arts and new technologies. FONLAD Festival, in its 8th edition aims to celebrate Nam June Paik, Vito Acconci and Bruce Numan, proposing as global theme “Performing Acts”. It seeks to present a body of work that has at its core the record of performances (artistic or not), the body in its many cultural meanings and poses, the registration of events / actions, works that have as a theme or center, the body, his move(s), desire(s), anxietie(s), either in the form of video art, video performances, photography or web art. O Festival FONLAD celebra, na sua 8ª edição, a obra de Nam June Paik, Vito Acconci e Bruce Nauman, propondo como tema “Actos Performativos”. Pretende-se apresentar um corpo de trabalho que tem como preocupação fundamental o registo de performances (artísticas ou não), o corpo nos seus múltiplos significados e posturas, o registo de eventos /acções, obras que tenham como tema o corpo, os seus movimentos, desejos, ansiedades, seja na forma de video arte, video performance, fotografia ou web arte.
