Andreu World Award – furniture designPrémio Andreu World – design de mobiliário

 The annual international furniture design competition Andreu World is now open for entries. In its 12th – 2012 edition – the competition is once again seeking for innovative designs for a chair and/or table. Group or individual entries are eligible and more than one entry per competitor can be submitted. The competition is open both to design students and to professionals, without age limit.  Está aberta a competição internacional anual de design de mobiliário Andreu World. Na sua 12ª edição, a decorrer em 2012, procuram-se propostas inovadoras para uma cadeira e/ou mesa. Prémio Artístico Future GenerationFuture Generation Art Prize

Está aberta a candidatura para a segunda edição do Prémio Artístico Future Generation, lançado em 2009 pela Fundação Victor Pinchuk, com periodicidade bienal. O Prémio é aberto a todos os artistas até aos 35 anos e tem o objectivo de premiar e dar apoio duradouro à futura geração de artistas. O formulário está disponível online, até 6 de Maio, no website do concurso.Applications are open for the second edition of the biennal Future Generation Art Prize, launched by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation in 2009. The Prize is open to all artists up to the age of 35 with the aim of acknowledging and giving long-term support to a future generation of artists. Applications available online from February 6 to May 6, 2012, at the competition’s website.

O programa é aberto à participação de artistas nacionais e estrangeiros para desenvolvimento de projectos, individuais ou colectivos, em todas as áreas criativas. Xerem lança um novo website Xerem launches a new website

O novo website da Xerem já está online, uma iniciativa que pretende dar reflexo das actividades da Xerem e criar um maior envolvimento com os seus públicos. Entre as várias novidades está uma Galeria Online que abre com a Exposição “Erosion”, resultante de uma residência artística de Binu Bhaskar, Monica de Miranda e Alex da Silva  desenvolvida pela Xerem em parceria com a Zeropoint Art Gallery no Mindelo/Cabo Verde.
Numa outra cara mas com a mesma missão, a Xerem continua a apostar na divulgação de oportunidades para artistas, na formação artística e inclui agora uma secção que visa promover actividades de artistas e parceiros que nos estão próximos.

Xerem new website is now online, an initiative that aims to reflect the activities of Xerem and create a greater involvement of its audiencies. Among the many new features is an Online Gallery that opens with the exhibition “Erosion“, resulting from an artist residency of Binu Bhaskar, Monica de Miranda and Alex da Silva developed by Xerem in partnership with Zeropoint in Mindelo / Cape Verde.

In other way but with the same mission, Xerem continues to invest in the dissemination opportunities for artists, artistic training and now includes a section that seeks to promote the activities of artists and partners who are close from us.

Convocatória Internacional para residência artística em HuelvaInternational Open call for artists in residence in Huelva

The Sierra Centro de Arte in collaboration with the Diputación de Huelva and the Ayuntamiento de Santa Ana la Real launched an international open call for 6 artist residencie that will place from May to October of this year in Santa Ana la Real (Huelva/Spain).

A Xerem esteve em Londres a participar na Triangle Conference Xerem was in London to participate in the Triangle Conference

A Xerem esteve em Londres a participar na Triangle Conference que decorreu nos passados dias 26 e 27 de Novembro de 2011 nas instalações da Bloomberg em pleno centro administrativo da cidade. O encontro reuniu na cidade os diversos parceiros da rede Triangle Network, bem como representantes de outros sectores e público interessado, tendo como tema “Networked: Dialogue and Exchange in the Global Art Ecology”.
No âmbito da conferência foi criado um Blog no qual são disponibilizados os vídeos que registam as intervenções dos conferencistas e onde se pode ter uma ideia das questões mais pertinentes levantadas durante os dois dias em decorreu a iniciativa.

Xerem  was in London to participate in the Triangle Conference held in the  26th and 27th of November 2011, on the premises of the Bloomberg center  in the heart of the city. The meeting brought together the various international  partners of the  Triangle Network to London, as well as representatives from other sectors and the general public. The conference was entitled “Networked: Dialogue and Exchange in the Art Global Ecology.”
